Bonding with patients for better care
“I treasure the opportunities I have to develop lifelong relationships with my patients and their families and to be a part of bringing new lives into the world on a daily basis. The bonds that I make with patients of all ages are important to me. I hope to give them honest, realistic information about their health based on current evidence. I’m a good listener, too, and patients seem to feel comfortable telling me about their real concerns. I relate to them as a woman and as a mother.”
In her free time, Dr. Joy enjoys running, biking and gardening. She is also a competitive downhill skier and can often be found hitting the slopes.

Providing continuous care for a lifetime
“This is a very personal field of medicine that requires continuity of care involving individuals and families, often over generations. OB GYN is not just about pregnancy but involves the woman as a whole. This includes helping her with decisions about family planning and dealing with gynecologic problems that can arise while striving to avoid disease and cultivate overall health in order to enjoy a long and healthy life.”
Outside of the office, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time working in the yard, raising his chickens and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife and their two Dobermans.

One size does not fit all especially in medicine
“Women’s health is a unique area of medicine as it blends features of both primary care and specialty medicine. This affords me the opportunity to forge relationships with women over time. Through listening, I get to really know my patients, to learn what is important to them, but more so who they are as humans and what makes them unique. Healthcare encompasses more than just “the medicine”. As such, my goal is to create a safe space where women feel comfortable, cared for, and heard. I believe through mutual trust and respect we can work together to achieve your healthcare goals… and have fun while doing it. “
In her free time, Dr. Mora enjoys spending time with family and friends. She likes to bake, camp, fish and put together an occasional puzzle.

Alex Trotter, PA-C
My passion for medicine began with an innate desire to know and care for others. I feel that my role as a provider is to understand and treat my patients as the unique individuals they are, while empowering them to make informed decisions about their own healthcare. As a new mother myself I cannot overstate the importance of feeling comfortable with your healthcare provider, which is especially true in OBGYN. It is therefore my goal to create a safe space to build trusting relationships with my patients and provide comprehensive care for women in all walks of life.
In her spare time, she enjoys adventures with her husband son, and their border collie, Ranger. Alex’s favorite hobbies include camping, riding dirt bikes, reading, and hiking.

The miracle of new life.
“It was after the birth of my oldest nephew over two decades ago that I really realized the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth. I wanted to be part of helping women take care of themselves, both physically and emotionally, as they prepared for their new–or renewed–role in life.”
After sixteen years as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, I returned to school and earned a Masters in Nursing degree. Now a Nurse Practitioner, I’ve taken my role one step farther in helping women through the different seasons of their life.
Building relationships where women are heard, valued and respected.
“Even though women share similar experiences, their perspectives and stories are so different, changing with each phase of life. I seek to earn my patient’s trust and strive to provide quality care and provide accurate and reliable information to help women make healthcare decisions that impact them and their family.”
In her spare time, Katie and her husband are very busy with their four children, enjoying snow skiing and camping around the Pacific Northwest.
